The Client and its Context
Cellnex is a European operator of wireless telecommunications infrastructure that facilitates connectivity for people and regions, driving digitalisation across Europe. It was founded in 2015 as a result of the spin-off of the telecommunications division of the Abertis Group, at which point it went public as an independent company under the name Cellnex Telecom.
With its headquarters in Spain, Cellnex has grown to operate in a total of 12 European countries, aiming to establish a pan-European telecommunications infrastructure platform. It offers its clients a range of solutions and technologies designed to ensure reliable and high-quality conditions for the wireless transmission of content, whether voice, data, or audiovisual content.
The Challenge
In 2024, Cellnex conveyed to Devoteam the need to:
- Facilitate a smooth and effective transition to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Support users throughout the process to ensure the success of the change.
- Maximise user satisfaction when using the tool.
The Solution
First, we prepared the organisation to ensure that they technically met all the necessary requirements before starting the pilot.
To achieve these objectives, we designed a Copilot Adoption and Change Management Plan, which also included a tailor-made communication plan for the organisation. Training materials and resources were created and provided to users to support a smooth adoption of Copilot.
Once the pilot programme was launched, continuous support and guidance were offered to all participants, ensuring that the adoption of the new tool was progressive and user-friendly.
Finally, all usage and performance data of Copilot within the organisation were evaluated and measured to verify whether the objectives set at the beginning of the project had been achieved.

Cellnex users concluded the pilot by recognising the great potential of the Copilot tool.
Data shows that they have become more productive; not only that, but the quality of work has also increased, achieving good results with less effort. This leads to faster and more effective work.
We have achieved high satisfaction with the tool at Cellnex, demonstrating that the adoption process was carried out effectively.
Next Steps
Cellnex’s journey does not end here. After successfully completing the pilot project for the adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, we are extending our service to provide continuous support to further advance the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft solutions.
